It's actually often about operating in the shadows. It's got lots of groups playing each other off. We can go on a journey way back to the beginning, particularly From Russia with Love. In fact I think it's one of the biggest failings of the series as a whole.
The true quality differences emerge in the depth of protagonist and supporting characters. Bond is more "spectacular" in regard to antagonists, stunts, and combat. Interestingly, the Daniel Craig Bond movies are less formulaic. If you don't have the time, the bottom line is that the Bourne movies are more formulaic than I thought. I understand the video is long, but it's the only way to compare 8 movies adequately. After much deliberation I determined:Ĭombat (including guns/vehicles/hand to hand) They are also central elements to each film. I believe that these films all did the following categories well. In order to approach this comparison, I identified several categories. So the films:īond: Casino Royale, Quantum of Solace, Skyfall, Spectreīourne: The Bourne Identity, The Bourne Supremacy, The Bourne Ultimatum, Jason Bourne Rather, who has the better franchise? To make it even, I considered only the Daniel Craig Bond films, which makes it 4 movies vs 4 movies (excluding the Jeremy Renner Bourne movie). Months ago some of you guys requested that I evaluate Jason Bourne and James Bond, but not in the typical "who would win in a fight" method.
